These new Directors represent breadth and depth across disciplines, geographies, and experiences in the community where they live and work.

Today, The Cigna Group Foundation announced six new appointees to its Board of Directors, joining board chair Melissa Skottegaard and member Kari Knight Stevens.
The Cigna Group Foundation Board of Directors now includes: Dr. Amy Flaster, Sachin Joshi, Andrea Nelson, Matt Perlberg, Celeste Player, Melissa Skottegaard, Kari Knight Stevens, and Doug Woodard.
These new Directors represent breadth and depth across disciplines, geographies, and experiences in the community where they live and work. Their perspectives around grantmaking and community engagement will further enable our strategy and impact as we continue to align around our three commitment areas: improving youth mental health, improving veteran mental health through housing stability, and reducing barriers to health equity.
“These leaders bring immense knowledge and talent to the Board,” said Skottegaard. “They will help steward and support the Foundation’s mission, which is to improve the health and vitality of the communities we serve.”
The governance model for The Cigna Group Foundation ensures it can continue to cultivate existing and new partnerships with local nonprofits and enable them to drive the impact local communities collectively need to improve health and vitality among youth and adults.
