The Cordani Family Foundation’s $2 million contribution to the Gary Sinise Foundation is strengthening programs that honor, support, and empower the families of America’s fallen heroes.

Four years after the David and Sherry Cordani Family Foundation first announced its landmark $2 million commitment to the Gary Sinise Foundation, the impact of that investment continues to grow.
The Gary Sinise Foundation brings the families of fallen heroes together for curated experiences within their communities. Sharing their stories in a safe environment helps them find strength, resilience, and the knowledge that they will never be alone on their healing journey. Since inception, more than 23,000 loved ones of America’s fallen heroes have joined the Gary Sinise Foundation for its retreats and community events.
Since 2022, the Cordani Family Foundation’s support has helped expand the reach of Snowball Express, a Gary Sinise Foundation program supporting the children and surviving parent/guardian of military service members who died while serving our nation. The investment enabled even more families from across the country to participate in empowerment workshops, regional community events, and the program’s annual signature five-day healing experience at Walt Disney World Resort, which is dedicated to healing, connection, and remembrance.
“Every day is Memorial Day for the family of a fallen hero. I believe we can never do enough to help these families through the sacrifices they have made protecting our communities and defending our precious freedom,” said Gary Sinise, founder, president and chairman of the Gary Sinise Foundation. “Thanks to David and Sherry Cordani’s extraordinary support, we’ve been able to bring more of these families together to help them heal and honor their loved ones. The generosity of the Cordani Family Foundation reflects the very best of what it means to be grateful Americans. They have helped to ensure that the families of our fallen know they are not alone and will never be forgotten. I am deeply grateful for all they have done to help us in our mission.”
The Family Foundation’s investment also supported critical mental wellness initiatives through the Boulder Crest Foundation, a Gary Sinise Foundation partner helping veterans and first responders heal from post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injuries, and other invisible wounds. The Cordani Family Foundation contribution enabled additional service members to receive critical mental health support and resources, honoring their contributions to our country and easing their transition post-service.
The $2 million gift remains one of the Cordani Family Foundation’s most significant national engagements, aligned with its broader focus on community health and long-term well-being.
“We are proud to help strengthen a program that so powerfully honors our military families – ensuring they are supported, uplifted, and reminded that their loved one’s sacrifice will always be remembered,” said David M. Cordani. “Though we can never do enough to honor those who serve, we are profoundly grateful for our partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation and the difference it has made for the families of our nation’s fallen heroes.”
Today, the Cordani Family Foundation and the Gary Sinise Foundation continue to advance their shared commitment: honoring the families of America’s heroes by ensuring they have access to community, connection, and the resources needed to thrive.
